What? ~ The Alphabet Weekends is a challenge I have given myself to go on 26 fortnightly family outings in 2014, each outing starting with a consecutive letter of the alphabet; an A-Z of family 'dates'.
Why? ~ well 2013 was pretty much annus horribilis for us in terms of our social life. There was a new baby. There was a huge age gap between my two kids. There was the isolation from our families. And, regretfully, there was also significant relationship stress. I felt guilty that I'd hardly done anything fun outside the house with my son since his sister was born so I thought up the idea of The Alphabet Weekends to challenge myself to get us out and about doing new and exciting things together.
